Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) is a Kentucky-based, interdenominational, non-profit organization “committed to serving people in need in Appalachia by providing physical, spiritual and emotional support through a wide variety of programs and services.” As the 15th largest human services charity in the nation, Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) has been committed to improving the lives of Appalachian residents since 1964.
- CAP is currently searching for a VISTA Leader to be a Mentor, Liaison, and Recruiter for their ten member VISTA project. The VISTA volunteers serve at non-profits located throughout eastern Kentucky, and the ideal leader would have experience with managing from a distance, volunteer engagement, basic technical troubleshooting, and the ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines at once. A genuine appreciation for paperwork, documentation, and performance measures is always a plus.
This highly engaging position will allow you to grow and develop highly transferable skills in a fun, professional, and people-oriented environment. Ask any of our current or former volunteers, a year CAP will change your life.
