Resume Review

Hi all,

I'm well into the second half of my year of service and need to find someone that can help me do a esume review and translate some of my current tasks into HR speak. Does anyone have any suggestions of people/companies that might be able to help me with this, while also being a little easier on the $$$ side of things?

Hi David,

Here's a good VISTA webinar: https://www.vistacampus.gov/resources/translating-vista-service-your-r%C.... If the link doesn't work, search under webinars on demand for "Translating VISTA Service to Your Resume and Career."

In regards to having in-person help, a lot of family resource centers in my area offer free resume and interview help for community members. They even have computer labs where you can work on it there. I would google something like "family resource center near me" and then call and ask them. You can also try some career centers. If your'e not sure where they are, you can contact a local university's career center and explain that you're a community member looking for free or low-cost help and ask if they know of any resources in your area. If you still have access to your VAD, you might want to bring it with you if you do go meet with someone or make a list ahead of time of everything you worked on.

Good luck!
